It's now less than two weeks to go until the start of Microsoft Tech·Ed 2006 in Boston. The plans have been made and I've also built my schedule for the week. Lucky me that I have a number of sessions in the Hands-On-Labs to do, otherwise I would have even more decissions to make. I presently have up to 4 sessions in parallel that I would like to attend!!! Well Tech·Ed always was about compromises.

Microsoft has released the first Release Candidate of their new command shell / scripting interface / administrator's best friend previously known as Monad. The product shall now be known as Windows PowerShell and is due for release in Q4 / 2006 (according to Microsoft).

This shows how you can use the tools built in to Windows XP SP2 and Windows Server 2003 SP1 to only allow those machines to communicate on your network that you really know and trust.

I just installed Performancing for Firefox and am starting to test it as a client to directly post to my drupal blog. So far, I am really pleased by this, but I reckon it will be a few days / posts before I have tested it properly.
